In 1997, Victoria Zeller opened Victoria's Beauty Salon here. Her business thrived and her clientele multipied. The salon won the reader's choice award from the Palladium Times in Oswego two years in a row (2004, 2005) and Victoria was awarded the title of best hair dresser from that same poll in 2005. Maria started working for Victoria in June 2004. Rebecca started working here in September 2005.
After a very short illness, Victoria passed away suddenly in January 2006. After her passing, the salon was sold to a previous employee of Victoria's. Both Maria and Rebecca stayed on as employees through her ownership.
In March 2008, Maria and Rebecca purchased the salon. It was renamed Running With Scissors to give it a more contemporary flair. Some cosmetic upgrades have been made, but the salon remains to be a great place to stop in and get your hair done.
